Calendar Art

 

This is my calendar art we all got to choose the animal I choose a duck we had a week or so to practice at start I was going to do a axolotl but it was a bit to hard we got do this with a cotton bud or a tooth pick I used both. 

Egg drop

 Today we did an egg drop we had to get into teams of 2 or 3. In my group I had me, Nia and Milan G at the end when we dropped the egg our egg was still in perfect condition. We had 30 mins to make our thing to make sure that our eggs were secure here are some photos

This week we have been learning about Matariki, this is what I know about it. This is one of the share tasks that I did.

Instructions

In Totara 1 we had had right a set of instructions I wrote mine on how to make a caramel sundae   If you read my piece of writing then you will know how to make a caramel sundae.

How to make a caramel sundae with toppings

Ingredients 

-ice cream

-toppings 

-caramel sauce

-1 bowl 

-2 spoons one for your topping and one for your ice cream 

1) First you have to get 1  bowl and put it on the table  

2) Second you need to grab all your ingredients and put that on the table 

3) Then one you have done that  you grab your whatever flavour ice cream and put how much spoonfuls of ice cream you want in your bowl 

4) Then you grab your caramel sauce and put however much you want onto your ice cream

5) Then when you're finished grab your toppings and put them on your ice cream. 

6) Grab a spoon.

7) Then enjoy !

Jean Batten

In Totara 1 we had to research about Jean Batten here is my writing

 

Jean Batten died 22 November 1982, she was 73 years old when she died. She died from a dog bite, she had complication issues and passed away. Jean Batten landed in New Zealand/Auckland from Rotorua at 5.50pm on the 16th of October 1936. Jean Batten set a women's record in her solo flight from England to Australia in 14 days, 23 hours, and 25 minutes.

Animals at war

 This week Totara 1 is learning about ANZAC. We had to either do a writing about life at home or Animals at war.Milan O, Nia and I did ours about 'Animals at War' swipe through these to see our work.

My Te Reo

 

This is my Te Reo that we had to do in class this week. Miss Power had to make a Te Reo thing for this week and this is what she made. She put in the Te Reo words for friends in a drawing and we had to put our friend names in the little blank spots and then put in photos of our friends here is mine.

The male part of the flower is a stamen.  Without bees many of our plants would not survive.  If we didn't have bees we wouldn't have thirty present of our food we like    The female part of the flower is called a stigma witch is in the middle of the flower  About 80 percent of plants need living creatures such as insects birds or bats to carry pollen	Many flowers produce sweet liquid nectar to attract bees.  As they rake the pollen they mix it with small amounts of nectar to make sure it is securely packed into their pollen baskets.

The main text of this is about parts of flowers like the stamen, the stigma and  petals and more things like that. Also you learn about the feeling and the little interesting info  like how the flower self-pollinate or what the bees go to collect.	In a group with my teacher we read about bees is how i know this is the main text and where I got this info from.

 

Attracting the Bees

In T1 we had to do a post of how we are going to attract the bees. In my group there is Milan G, Milan O, Pyper and myself... This is our thing we want to make. 

Report writing - Basketball

 In Totara 1 we working on writing reports. Here is my first report on basketball.

Basketball 

Basketball is a common sport there are many people that play basketball and then there are people who  make it into West Coast teams.  James Naismith was the person who created basketball he passed away on 28 November 1939. Rules about basketball, there are a few rules that you need to know if you want to play basketball like … No running while you have the ball in your hands 2 you can't touch people as they call it foul 3 only three seconds in the keyhole 

 

Around the whole world over 450 million people play basketball witch is 

More than you probably imagine. The thing that is cool about that is that i am one of those people that play and i hope people can encourage more people to play basketball. If people do encourage more people then there would be more than alot of people playing basketball. 

James Naismith was the person who created basketball and he passed away on 28 November 1939. He was 31 years old when he created basketball. The first basketball teams ever made were  Toronto Huskies and New York Knickerbockers and their games were on November 1, 1946. The first game was played in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  

There are a few rules you need to know like you can’t stay in the key hole for more than 3 seconds or it will be the other teams ball. You can’t run while the ball is in your hands, you can only dribble and you can’t touch people well as they call it a foul if you don’t listen to these rules then you will let your team down and that wouldn’t be fair .

In conclusion you can see that there are many rules you need to follow and there are many people that play basketball.
